Privately Offered Homes in San Antonio

What does it mean when a home is Privately Offered?

A Privately Offered home is listed in San Antonio’s MLS Private Listing Network, where the San Antonio Board of Realtors labels it as a “Private Listing.” This means every licensed real estate agent in our market can see it in the MLS. At the seller’s request, the home is simply not published on public search sites such as Zillow, Realtor.com, or Homes.com.

Some buyers and sellers use terms like off‑market, pocket listing, quiet listing, whisper listing, private listing, or private sale. We, at Kerri Real Estate, use the term “Privately Offered” because the home is still entered into the MLS and accessible to the entire professional real estate community.

How Buyers Access Privately Offered Homes

Buyers who are not yet working with a real estate agent are welcome to contact us at Kerri Real Estate. We can show you our Privately Offered homes directly, even if you are not represented. Private Listings in the San Antonio MLS, however, are only visible to licensed real estate agents. If you choose to hire us for buyer representation, we can also make sure you are aware of other privately offered opportunities across the market, not just our own.

Buyers who already have an agent can ask their agent to search the MLS under the “Private Listing” category and contact us to schedule a showing.

Our Commitment to Ethical Practice

Not all private listings are created the same, and this distinction matters. We, at Kerri Real Estate, do not practice broker exclusive listings. A broker exclusive listing is kept entirely off the MLS and is accessible only through one brokerage’s internal network. This approach limits a seller’s exposure, can reduce the final sale price, restricts access for buyers working with outside agents, and often results in the listing brokerage receiving both sides of the commission. It has generated significant controversy in the real estate industry across the country, and for good reason.

Every home listed with us as Privately Offered is entered into the MLS Private Listing Network, where agents will see it labeled as a “Private Listing.” We believe buyers deserve representation, sellers deserve strategic exposure, and real estate agents deserve full access without barriers. That is boutique real estate done with integrity.
